Jeanette's workshop was about colour and blending and how to make and use fine prefelts.Firstly we took a small amount of wool in 3 to 4 different colours laid them down then blended them by hand ,them carded them.We then photographed them on black and white paper as a memory aid.It was lovely to see some of the beautiful shades produced.We then made a very fine prefelt by using these colours,I had taken a lot of colours that I was not too fond or so ended up with a real mishmash.
By placing other fabrics or wool fibres underneath you could change the shades and colour we then had to combine the different pieces .
these cut outs were great for getting an idea of what parts might end up looking like.
